UGH!!!!

Today:

DUSTIN GOT ME SICK…I’M NOT HAPPY TODAY!

I woke up this morning feeling like poop (my favorite word these days) and didn’t want to go to they gym…luckily Amanda text me saying she wasn’t feeling so hot either. We took today off from the gym.
Got up, showered, took the dogs out, did some dishes and took the trash out.

Had a sore throat, suffered through it since I have a sensitive system with meds and headed to work.

Called USAA to pay Auto Insurance, total due: $174.87 total I was told due: $580.32! WTF????

Argued with USAA (who is usually very on top of it; not today), paid $200.00 that he told me I HAD to pay or our insurance would terminate!

Fuming; I called back and talked to someone else (who was on top of it), was given completely wrong info before (must have been new) got a $30.00 credit and many apologies.

Insurance not going anywhere…current until next bill in February! PHEW!!!

Tried calling the finance company to pay the truck payment…kept saying they were closed indefinitely….got even more mad!

Figured out mid-day I was calling Pima Federal Credit Union and not Franklin Capital Corporation…..what a dumbass!

Got to work, saw my pay stub…flipped out!

Paystub reflected that I made more money this paycheck, but had over $500.00 in taxes held out….making my check VERY VERY disappointing!

Have bills to pay…

Left message with HR to figure out why 74% of my federal withholdings were taken out.

Was told “tuff”, you mad $200.00 extra this check...still mad.

Noticed deductions were changed from pre-tax to post-tax without my knowledge therefore changing my withholdings! Ugh!

Told since Dustin was added to the insurance and was only considered a “domestic partner” all deductions are post-tax and wouldn’t change until we got married…..

Called Dustin to find out when he gets insurance through his work so I can get him off there and actually be able to pay bills!

Day is getting better; still sick….THANKS DUSTIN! LOL

Ready to go home….work blows!

HIGHTLIGHT: LOOKING FORWARD TO GOING HOME TO DUSTIN AND RELAXING ON THE COUCH…GETTING A GOOD NIGHT SLEEP AND FINISHING ARGUABLY THE BEST ROMANCE MOVIE, FIREPROOF (SO GOOD, DUSTIN CRIED)! PRAYING TOMORROW WILL BE BETTER SINCE IT’S FRIDAY!

Ummmmm

This past weekend we had a great weekend and paid NOTHING (even better, huh?) Friday I had some extra cash and wanted to do something nice for myself…so I went and had my nails done and then headed over to watch Bride Wars. I don’t normally go to the movies alone, as a matter of fact the first and last time I went, I saw Flicka! Haha I cried too! Anyhow, so I braved the movie theater, got my ticket, popcorn and since I didn’t eat dinner I grabbed a pretzel too (not so good when you’re trying to loose weight!) I got snuggled into my chair and enjoyed the movie! It was a really cute movie and again, I cried!
I headed home to find Dustin, Casey and Jeramie in the garage with Casey’s truck and quad tore apart! I hung out with them for a while until I braved Dustin’s taxes…hoping I didn’t do them wrong but one can only imagine, I think I did…he’s not getting anything back! I may have to take it all into a tax pro! Hope my taxes give me a good return…that’s the wedding money! (Pray for me)

Saturday we hung around the house, doing laundry, watching movies and just slept in! How nice, I love sleeping in! What I hate is all the sleeping in that we do during the weekend and Sunday rolls around and I can never get a good night sleep! You wake up Monday morning feeling drained and sleepy…UGH. We watched Death Race, which is a very good movie (not for kids). We were invited out to my Uncle Brad & Aunt Cathi’s house in Queen Creek for a little family BBQ since my Uncle was home from Alaska it’s our only chance to see him! Jesse, Amanda, Dustin and I headed out there all about the same time around 5pm and enjoyed nice conversation, steak, potatoes, peach cobbler and great company! We even had a little bonfire and chit chatted…it was nice and actually reminded me of our Oklahoma trip except without the weenies and marshmallows and FREEZING cold weather! We slowly migrated to the house and watched Dustin’s skydiving video then watched Never Back Down…it was a great movie and boy was the guy in there cute (sorry Dustin). We got home around 12:30am or so and headed off to bed! It was such a fun night….especially after watching Nathan (my cousin Britney’s boyfriend) and Zachary (my cousin) wrestling in the living room while Zac screaming out “I WAS JUST ENJOYING A FAMILY BBQ”...maybe you had to be there, but it was hilarious and we all were cracking up!

Sunday we met up with Jesse, Amanda and Jeramie and had some yummy breakfast at the Bagel Nosh, then headed to Firebird Raceway for some Street bike races, Moto X action and some dragsters! It was a lot of fun and definitely got me and Amanda (who didn’t want to go) excited for the Dunes trip to Glamis for President’s weekend! They guys sat there talking about how one day that will be their kid out there making money for us! IT WAS CLASSIC! We hung out at Firebird most all day Sunday before heading back to Jesse and Amandas for some fun in the sun while the guys worked on Jesse's quad! The weather down here was perfect for laying out, so that's just what we did! A few hours later after we passed out on the lawn chairs we started making dinner....mmmmm yummy chicken fajitas and a nice movie of Shooter!

Amanda and I talked about joining the gym, and after seeing myself in a bathingsuit realized I REALLY needed to loose about 20lbs! So Monday we braved the gym and so far, it's Wednesday morning and we have gone all week. It's nice having a gym partner and despite the little bet that Jesse and Dustin have going on....we will make it past their 3 week mark! I'm excited...now just have to get healthy groceries in the house...or groceries period! Well...off to work! Have a good day! Looking forward to sleeping in on Saturday (no gym on the weekends)!

Happy Birthday Babe!!!!

So as Dustin posted (finally), it was his birthday weekend so of course I had to go above and beyond! I had this big plan that was working our perfectly! I had organized a surprise birthday party for Dustin on Friday, his sister Lisa and her fiance Jonathan were suppose to fly in Friday afternoon, then we were going to head to Show Low have dinner and by the time we were done his friends would be in town and surprise him. We were all suppose to head to Sunrise and snowboard (as a group)! Well, by Thursday all the plans had fell through and I hadn't the slightest idea what to do! I talked to my friends, his friends, my mom, Bannon, Katrina....you name it I thought about it! Tanya's birthday is the same weekend and she had planned on skydiving so I through that idea in there! At one point we were going to head to Cali and hit up Six Flags since we have some buy one get one free, but the park doesn't open until March! The next thing was to still go to Cali and hang out...then Jonathan couldn't get the day off...it was all just a mess! I was getting frustrated and I knew Dustin would be frustrated with me if I didn't plan anything!

Thursday afternoon I called and made arrangements for the surprise Dustin was talking about! Friday rolled around, we were up and out of the house by 6:30am, headed to Dustin's yearly check-up (such a nice fiance I am huh...taking care of my man! haha I'm sure he really appreciated that!); nothing says happy birthday like a checkup! haha We then went to my check up! Yay again! Then off to downtown phoenix to get our MARRIAGE LICENSE! It was in and out! (Picture coming soon)!

We went home, Dustin wrote his 1st blog and then we headed off to his surprise! I blind folded him after we grabbed lunch and off we went! About 30 minutes south of Ahwatukee (our house) we arrived to his destination! The whole way he was begging me to tell him hints! I did...

Dustin: Does it have wheels?

Me: Yes.

Dustin: Does it have an engine? (His passion)

Me: Yes.

Dustin: Am I going to be scared?

Me: Yes.

Dustin: Hmmmm...Will I be doing any walking?

Me: Yes.

Dustin: Are you doing it with me?

Me: Nope; it's all you babe!

Dustin: Is it SKYDIVING?

Me: No.

Dustin: Did you rent a trophy truck and some guy is going to take me on a ride in the desert? (his new passion)

Me: Ummmm NO!

Finally I told him to keep quiet...trying to get him to put the blindfold on for 20 minutes was hard enough!

HE WAS SURPRISED WITH SKYDIVING!!!!!

Dustin cracks me up! We pulled up and he said he was sooo excited! He pulled the blindfold off right when the trailer load of people in their jumpsuits were driving by! He was sooo happy and nervous! He called everyone he could think of to share his exciting birthday news! Here he is sitting in the classroom watching the video and signing his life away! He said come give me a kiss...this may be the last one you will ever get! Haha He said babe, this can be either the best birthday present or the worst birthday present...such a worrier he is!

He was told to tie his shoes tight so they didn't fly off in mid air; this is what we got:

And off they go....in a TINY aircraft....

They jump out at 13,500 feet and here they come after freefalling for about 1 minute!

And he touched town safely! He said it was the best birthday ever! I was sooo excited I made his day...that was my whole goal! I love you so much babe...can't wait to go for my birthday in May!

I'm Not A Blogger Virgin Anymore

Ashley talked me into doing my first blog. You would think as much as I talk I would have something to say on here. I guess it’s the fact that im not really engaged in a real conversation. So it’s my birthday weekend and I have no idea what Ash has in store for me. Good thing I love surprises! Ill let you know later on what we did. Things are really falling into place for us. I started a new job on Wednesday that I am really excited about. I’m doing something I know and it pays really well which is always a plus, and just in the nick of time.

That video of thor getting tossed is pretty funny! I love that Ash will go out and do stuff like that with me and actually have fun doing it. We will be going to glamis for Pres Day. It will be our second time going and cant wait! We had so much fun last time. Her brother Bannon said I was like a kid in a candy store.

The past year and half has been full of surprises and new challenges. I have gained so much good from them all. I feel that I have acquired a new family that loves me as there own. Which I believe plays a big part in a relationship. Ashley has become my best friend and a lifetime partner. Together we can accomplish anything that life throws our way. I cant wait to see what the next 40 years has in store, after that I probably wont be able to see so who cares, ha ha ha. Well were about to head off on my birthday adventure. I wonder whats in store…………………………..

New Adventure!

So for the last few weeks Dustin and I have been contemplating on moving out of state. I want to start school in the Physician Assistant program and i've heard nothing but good things in Spokane, Washington. Dustin has looked into jobs in the area and possibly going back to surverying! Janet, a lady whom I work with use to live there and recently moved to Arizona. We were getting hooked up with job leads, reference letters, started making friends there and are really looking forward to moving!

Marriage License!

Today we got our MARRIAGE LICENSE! Yes folks, we are one step closer to getting married! It was $72.00, but at least we were able to take the day off to get it done! Woo Hoo!!!

TWILIGHT...OH TWILIGHT GOERS

SO I HAVE HEARD NOTHING BUT TWILIGHT THIS AND TWILIGHT THAT FOR THE LAST 2 MONTHS...AND I'M STARTING TO GET CURIOUS. BOTH KATRINA AND TANYA AND AMANDA, COME TO THINK OF IT HAVE ALL THREE READ ALL THE BOOKS. I'M THINKING THERE ARE 4! I WANT TO REFRAIN FROM JUMPING...BUT I THINK IT'S TIME THAT I MUST JUMP ON THE BANDWAGON! TANYA...THOSE BOOKS COME MY WAY WHEN YOU ARE WILLING TO LET ME BORROW THEM. I ASSURE YOU, I WILL NOT BE ONE OF THE GIRLS I SAW AT CHANDLER MALL THE OTHER WEEK WHO WERE ALL DECKED OUT TO THE MAX WITH THEIR TWILIGHT GEAR...BUT I MAY BUY A T-SHIRT DEPENDING ON IF I AM INTRIGUED AFTER THE 3RD BOOK!

Queen Creek 4-Wheeling Adventure (just that...ADVENTURE!)

So, Dustin has been diligently working on the truck doing cool things here and there and so we just had to test all the suspension work out, and of course out new tires! We went out to the "Moon Tower" as the guys call it, a week before Christmas (don't you all who are in freezing SNOWY weather wish you were in Az?! It was fun....I learned how to drive in 4x4...or kinda! I have a very FUNNY video of me driving and I popped THOR out! We let the dogs out and they ran behind us the whole way. THOR being the curious dog that he is got himself into some trouble with the cacti out there! Poor guy! Here are a few pictures, and the video if I can figure how to load it! In my defense...he DID tell me to "go a little faster" hahahah You have to watch it over and over...it's HILARIOUS that THOR just pops out! haha

Save-The-Date Cards...What Do YOU Think?

So, I wanted a lot of personal touches and a lot of non-traditional things in our wedding so I made alot of little touches! In a post in the latter part of 2008 I made the flower girls gifts..i'll add a pic unfinished and later the final project!
I made all the save-the-date cards as well as the wedding invitations (still in process)! I love photography, so that's always a plus for this blog of mine! Here are a few pictures of the cards, sorry I get a bit overwhelmed with a camera in hand!
