Sycamore Creek
I'm so excited summer is here because there is going to be many more camping trips like this!!! YAY! Maybe when the weather is warmer and the water isn't so cold we can take the Jet Ski's out! Score!
Just a little update for us!
"When we travel live's roads with those we love, the point of the destination is always secondary to the quality of the journey"

So since Dustin and I hardly ever see each other these days, due to work, we decided that we would make Sunday's our "riding day"! Sounds like fun, huh? It's a blast! I think Dustin gets more excited than I do. He spends most of Saturday night out in the garage getting the bikes ready for the morning. Not sure exactly what this entails, but hey, it's good for him...I guess! Two weekends ago we went to Butcher Jones which is down by Saguaro Lake! It's only about 45 minutes or so away from home and it's so pretty! This past weekend we decided to try out Sycamore Creek since Dustin's dad, Bob, said it was a good place to ride; that he had been riding there before. So we packed up after sleeping in til 10am (it's sooo nice), and headed out! We made it to Sycamore Creek but failed miserably to find the actual "creek". After driving on some trails and seeing all the people that were there, asking some other riders where to go, and even talking to Bob, we realized that the trails didn't look that great, there were too many people and Bob forgot to tell us that the last time he went riding was over 18 years ago! hahaha...a lot has apparently changed since 18 years ago! Funny guy! (oh yeah..the above picture was taken by the lady who didn't know how to work a camera in the Taco Bell drive-thru of all places)!
The weather was perfect for us and neither of us got sunburned! However, both of us wrecked and one of us pulled a superwoman move...can you guess which one of us that was? I have this SMALL problem of hitting my front brakes when I get scared or going to fast! Even though I say it's a SMALL problem, it's actually a HUGE problem! I am all beat up because of it! I haven't been doing so well going "downhill", uphill I got mastered...or so I think! Haha. I didn't know how to get downhill without falling over so I would always do just that, fall over! Two weeks ago I dumped my bike and the clutch went right above and below my knee! This is the injury 1 week after the fact! It hurt so bad that I wanted to cry! I never did though...you can't let your boyfriend think you can't hack it on the trails! I would have been left at home next time! haha...just kidding!
I love nature pictures...sure makes you appreciate where you live and what you have! Having Sunday being our riding day has it's perks...no laundry, no city smog, no lounging around the house all day! But then again...bruises come to mind. Not to mention the first time we went out we forgot to take snacks and stuff, only water, so we were sooo hungry when we were done! We stopped at McDonald's and grabbed a burger! I had to keep my riding boot on cause it was going to hurt like heck had I taken it off...besides I wouldn't have gotten it back on! It was funny cause everyone at McDonald's was looking at us funny! Oh well...gives us something to laugh about later! This is me after the first spill:
